Help with installing and activating Streaky Audio plugins. If you cannot find your answer here, email hello@streakyaudio.com.

Installing

Mac: Download the installer, double-click it, and follow the steps. Choose which formats you want (AU, VST3, AAX) when asked.

Windows: Download the file, then right-click it and choose Extract All. Open the folder that appears and double-click the file ending in .exe to run the installer. Extracting on its own does not install the plugin. If Windows shows a blue warning screen, click More info, then Run anyway.

After installing, fully close and reopen your DAW so it rescans for new plugins.

Activating your licence

Your serial number is emailed to you at the time of purchase. Open the plugin in your DAW, paste the serial into the activation box, and click Authorise. Copy and paste rather than typing, as some characters are easy to confuse.

Each licence covers your own machines. Your plugin will keep working offline once activated.

Activation says it failed

The most common cause is something on your computer blocking our licence server. Please try, in order:

  1. Turn off any VPN completely and try again
  2. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall and try again
  3. If you are on a work or university network, try a home connection or phone hotspot
  4. Run our Activation Repair Tool

If none of that works, please email us and include the result of this test so we can see exactly what is in the way:

Mac: Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal). Windows: Open Command Prompt (not PowerShell). Paste the line below, press Enter, and send us everything it prints.

curl -v https://api.keyzy.io/v2/status-check

The plugin window is blank or black

This is a graphics issue rather than a licence issue. On Windows, updating your graphics drivers and restarting usually fixes it. Please also try opening the Standalone version of the plugin to see whether it displays correctly, and let us know your graphics card if the problem continues.

My DAW says unsupported architecture

This means your DAW cannot load the plugin format for your processor. Please email us with your operating system, your processor (on Mac: Apple Silicon or Intel; on Windows: check whether it is a Snapdragon or ARM machine), and your DAW version, and we will confirm compatibility.

The plugin does not appear in my DAW

Close and reopen your DAW so it rescans plugins, and restart your computer if you have not already. Check that you installed the format your DAW uses (Logic uses AU, Pro Tools uses AAX, most others use VST3), and that the format was ticked during installation. In Cubase, Live and Studio One you may also need to trigger a plugin rescan in preferences.
